American quadruplets, all girls, whose home-movie of them laughing in unison was featured on America's Funniest Home Videos and won them over $250,000 as a result. The girls were featured in three 1-hour episodes of a documentary called Super Quads on the Discovery Health Channel.Sy Scholfield quotes from a news report, "Columbia Mom Gives Birth To Quadruplets," Spartanburg Herald-Journal, 18 Feb. 2000, p. C2: "Associated Press. COLUMBIA — Without the aid of fertility drugs, a Columbia woman has given birth to four baby girls, Allison Mathias gave birth by Caesarean section Wednesday ... Babies A and B came at 1:09p.m. Babies C and D follwed at 1:10 p.m. . . . at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital."
