Public Information

German homicide; the killer of 12 boys between 1933 and 1935. An itinerant watchmaker, he was first charged with the murder of a young boy in 1908 but the case was never proven. When confined to a mental home near Potsdam, he refused to speak a word for two years. He was at the same time a Bible student and could quote scripture at length. Through his lifetime he spent 23 years altogether in jail for sexual offences against young boys before he was arrested for murder in early 1936.Heinz Specht quotes Hans-Jorg Walter, no source.
